AN OASIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT OF ISRAEL
Have you ever thought of relaxing in the desert of Israel and just have a time-out? Well you should consider it right away, we definitely can’t wait to visit our latest project, the Six Senses Hotel Shaharut, with our local partners which will be opening by the end of 2018. A true oasis is being created.
Six Senses Shaharut is located to the south of Israel’s Nagev Desert in the Arava Valley. The LEED-certified hotel will have just 58 suites and villas, occupying a footprint of approximately 46 acres. Taking the landscape into consideration, the designers of Six Senses Shaharut’s villas used local rocks and pigments, while landscapes have regional cacti and desert blooms and exterior lights are intended to avoid light pollution. Many furnishing elements of the resort are sourced from a partnership with local community artisans. In order to relax, the pool and spa area features 320 m² of BASWA Phon. The color is a light beige, mirroring the desert. The curved area requires a very special technique and know-how. Our Global BASWA Installer Team, the Pimenta Brothers, cooperated once again with our local partner Judea and did an amazing job! We would call it true dedication. You can tell, that the team around the Pimenta Brothers enjoyed their time at this amazing project…Passion & Handcraftsmanship at its best. We can’t wait for the final results.
